Lootbags , gifts and toys are some of the prizes. The kids also prepare a dance number for us. The program lasted at 11:30 AM and food were served to the kids, donations were turned over to Ms. Cindy Palma. Before we leave the place, Ms. Palma and the other coordinators showed us the other villas where kids below three years old and infants were being housed and cared for.</p><p>Another fullfilling day for the group and friends who come to share their time and their blessings. Again, to all of our batchmates, friends and family, who continously support this activity (on its third year now), thank you for the trust, prayers , inspirations, treasures (cash and goods) . This will surely makes a lot of difference to the lives of the children. Till next year, let's make a difference and continue to be a blessing to others. God Bless Us All!!!</p><p></p><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi48BZfEVv-yjgmULHG5lx-8dNe_DzLUtfGlFxJOk-fwUtijC0MetvFTLOQ96UKfC1d38PTKiNLqPqa6asjUPfW7426rLmcVYuqHx3zaJ_xquKMi1tPZc3hv9cerglnWNdTeWrbGOiNh0m-/s1600-h/DSC_3399.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; But this one is for my Mom whose celebrating her birthday (my gift) and at the same time to visit my cousin who works here.<br /></div><br /><div align="left">Ryan (my cousin fiance) fetched as in the airport and went directly in their place. We take a rest for an hour and start visiting some places (where I already seen) so my Mom could enjoy and experience seeing good places here in Singapore. The common places we visited during our stay are Sentosa, Bird Park, Singapore Zoo, Esplanade, Merlion Park and Marina Bay. We also passed by at Singapore Flyer, now the worlds giant observation wheel after the London Eye. Actually I really wanted to see this observation deck/wheel and try riding but I've changed my mind for some personal reasons, maybe next time.</div><div align="left"> </div><div align="left">My cousin treat us in an eat all you can dinner at Orchard Hotel. The purpose is to visit a dear friend who is getting married and I'll be one of the sponsors in their wedding. No big deal being the youngest principal sponsor as the couple is a very special friend to me for quite a long time. From being a friend and a former Supervisor, now a Godfather to them.<br /><br /><div>The supposed pick up at the airport was cancelled due to some errands so I take a cab from the airport and meet them at SM, one of the malls in the city which is approximately 30-45 minutes depending on the driver. Ryan and Donna fetched me at the mall, have some lunch at KFC and we went to Donna's house at Potolan, Jaro while Ryan went back to the airport to fetched for another friend and relatives. I stayed there for a night together with Jayces (Ryan's colleagues in abroad). That night we help in the preparation of give aways (souvenir items for the guests) and have some social drinking. </div><div></div><div>The next day, we transferred at Westown Hotel (courtesy of the couple) because the church and reception is near in the Hotel (also near at SM). While staying in the hotel, we took advantage and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Nice view at the pool side, were we enjoy swimming. My former office mate, Keats arrived that morning from Boracay. After some rest, we strolled at SM to try the steaming bowl of Ted's La Paz Batchoy which is all over the place. Not to forget in the list is the best buy pasalubongs like boxes of butter scotch, bischocho etc. from the famous Biscocho Haus stores.<br /></div><div align="left"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357921482550116082" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM4UPhTdY_wZ1M8Tq4H5cCzdxWfHFlgRDBZemUSpvl2h5CxYYifF0lTW34Jt9fggwtwd-trsvgko5xzBfGMPq5_XVN2fs3YZSqinHTWiZHt4vpJnJLXBxGWXvRFne4BswLJhyik4yfgvLU/s320/Iloilo+.jpg" border="0" /> </div><div align="left"></div><div align="left">The wedding was held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Iloilo City. Attended by immediate family and close friends. This is my first time to be a principal sponsor if not for the couple, who are dear to me, I would not want too. Imagine, I have to bring my Barong here in Iloilo and walk down the aisle (just kidding). Maybe I had to accept the fact that I'm getting older. But, really it's a pleasure considering me as one of their Ninongs, and I love them more for that gesture. Reception follows at Escas Garden Restaurant. </div><div align="left"><br /></div><div align="left"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357921487715064658" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvscI3VX2mASayash1EKqqbuQbUM3PthUzj_EB1Fv-rJIzNTKf9Q3pT7oWfJkXNa8IsaRm8B5YZ-QYP9pxOv4t0h9LDdqlNPc_PcokbpahA6Jo0lYhn-ezPUPsLGQGH3Bt3Lz3LYNd1hOK/s320/Iloilo+wedding.jpg" border="0" /><strong></strong></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5358219648276588482" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 203px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVriTR_T_WqXgUYbhJnTqssxo25k5qfrC3IVN-8GzBHG2gJo0avNlGgzTHH-nPOyOJ2rX3JNrwEwYHopXI3VkVKW0cYp9qkDXNSKl_bdwv3huE3WZCBoelrmHANd02LcH2_pPgoMIexalC/s320/Wedding+Reception.jpg" border="0" /> <div align="left"><strong></strong></div><div align="left"><strong>Island Hoping at Guimaras</strong><br /><br />The following day (after the wedding), we woke up early and went to Guimaras, where the sweetest mangoes are one of the many draw cards of this island. It's a quiet, mountainous island strapped by a handful of scenic, winding roads with well-signed attractions. As referred, we went to one of the best areas on the west coast, the Alubihod beach in Sta Ana Bay.<br /></div><div align="left"><div>We rent a boat to experience island hopping. The boatman charged us 400 pesos for the first hour and additional 150 pesos for the succeeding hour. Our first destination is the PawCaFS station in Lawi Bay. PawCaFS stand for Pawikan Caring & Feeding Station. It's our first time to touch a pawikan and tried cleaning them by the guidance of the caretaker and it's quite heavy. A voluntary monetary donation is encourage for the maintenance of the facility. Next stop is the Baras beach , a secluded resort that can be reached only through a pump boat. There are several beaches and islets undeveloped that you will see here, native houses, beautiful rock formations and caves. We also passed by at Ave Maria Cave (hope my memory is right!!!) and went inside. It is indeed a majestic view from in and out. It was a fun and awesome experience, exploring the beautiful and breath taking scenery of this Island. </div><div></div><div></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357921494112857714" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjOIpKzZoN8X3XGonOcHuUM8wtY1O9NDza7JRkmBP90lMUdyzrMPgJFFjDbig-XNfTBHFYhW0MMXiBKc0CekZzfpkmz4RXQenbiArK9TRYKsJvT9TVOUY8wclzpHwwMKGD_1wO5_SjrSaB/s320/Guimaras+rev.jpg" border="0" /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5357921492929370914" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOeCJJvId2JDx-rwQSbma72P-r_AuhsiR6Yu2EsDCC9RGmJ5TVxvicRnyIaFlmNqXVmiDMZzKwy8MBlB2y7Jcs4W_KjS5bxx8UN14j1md4AACQbFGhUEdCkUZZuu87obJ1VZ5LmBC4a0KE/s320/Guimaras+trip.jpg" border="0" /> <div><div><div></div><div></div><div></div></div></div></div>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-49688396238136890112009-01-02T02:47:00.009+08:002009-02-16T13:09:38.249+08:00Dinner at Zamboanga Restaurant<div align="justify">A few days after a Christmas gathering, my balikbayan good friends, invited me to have dinner with their hubbies at Zamboanga Restaurant located at 1619 Adriatico St. Malate Manila. It serves fresh seafoods, native cuissne and international dishes. The place offer nightly cultural shows which starts at 8:30 pm and serenaders to visitors/guest. It offers dances from different parts of the country. During the show, they will ask some participants to join in some dance where basic steps will be taught and afterwards they will perform it on stage. Dance like Tinikling and Hawaiian. That was fun seeing mostly foreigners doing the dance, children who wants to learn our national dance, tinikling.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify">This is another worthwhile experience , getting to know and refreshing your mind with Philippine Cultural history. It was a great dining experience together with lifetime good friends and enjoying the fantastic cultural show. </div><div> </div><div> </div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRxq39JU5hMCVBvD19dxossGn98gvugTs2K3dPHSfvPXRcTgtIn17er4F5iNuk1L6N3zJQr76XHjwNjpfNMilZy_4hcehO6RQaWXvYv97zikuP4juDKC9ywbhPHAEjP0fXQxniAhKSFD4u/s1600-h/zambo3.jpg"></a><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289563772907743154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 219px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO1y_XKBpIz5KO9CgeFT7b6JcK9i5JrKlRwJtNCsObZH3wn_O5zOnWi-eKlF-e0FEmbbUqOjGHTYxuy2ub5o1M7udW_QePXhNXdmsI2aAGvrs8SVVjbm3uwmUd7VL9GlZZcN3q-ZghV_bJ/s400/zambo3.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br /><div> </div></div>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-44900993229281109962008-12-31T22:53:00.008+08:002009-01-04T13:12:37.950+08:00Blessings In My LifeFirst in the lists is my health improvement being a Post Kidney Transplant, I already survived more than 1 year. Blessing the family with three lovely angels (the twins alliza & allison and angel) seeing my sister and her family in London. Good health and abundance of grace including the trials and challenges that the family had this year. It make us even stronger, closer and strengthen our faith.<br /><br />Places I visited like Bohol, Cebu and Baguio (been here always...hehehe) Malaysia - again...and UK London. My job and the crazy, emotional and reasonable people I work with...they make work interesting and fun. My personal trials, failures and being dumb for several times for being so kindhearted and friendly because I choose to be that way and be happy in that decision. Sure we made some mistakes along the way, what matters most is how we accept, experience and stand on that situation. The good thing is realizing that as a blessing. Sometimes it is helpful and even comforting to remember that there are things that we can never change.<br /><br />Meeting my Batch mates/Friends in High School and start to continue the friendship. My dear special friends in college, the ChE Blues Group for the annual gatherings and doing some worthwhile activities (Outreach Program). My former co-employees who been there and stayed as good friend to me even in a long distance communication. Youngsters I've met who keep in touch and establishing friendship and becoming part of my family. People in my Friendster who take time to send messages and and considering me as one of their good friends. My new group, BH at smashville.....who are true good and nice to me.<br /><br />I consider all of you a blessing in my life... I believe that meeting people is not a coincidence...People come into our life for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME.<br /><br />To all of you have a brighter, blessed and happy new year.....Live well, Laugh often and Love with all of your heart.louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-81234852875212658952008-12-16T23:17:00.029+08:002009-01-02T02:47:18.059+08:00A Day with New & Old Good Friends<div align="justify">It's Sunday once again and time to play badminton with my batch mates (high school friends) and the BH group. We had just our BH tournament last week December 7, 2008 and I would like to congratulate all the winners especially my batch mates who won the Class B and Class C division. This is the first badminton tournament they had. My batch mates Rey is paired to Rodel the husband of Rachel who also won the championship in Class C together with Trish. </div><div align="justify"></div><br /><div align="justify">This Sunday is just another routine play were we gather and play. After the play I joined with the youngsters (without my batch mates) to eat at Robinson's Galleria and to know more of the group where I'm a "newbie". Actually, my so called adopted brother (new friend) will accompany me to buy something and have time together. So after eating we went at SM Mega to do the shopping , had coffee at Starbucks and watch a movie upon his request. It was great day and I get to know more of my adopted brother. </div><br /><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284017816443963522" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 132px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho0DLYhrmBxqu8HsmKNpB9MVsA-GSPL6znff8PGvNSLDvGJSvw-fxa-z1-LvFolXPquJpRlAoh87RKvF4f1kjVumu-ggYPWeLkfFw82_kZo8OImmzr-rZecuwXVmMH0Yk2IEirFf8777EJ/s200/badpic4.JPG" border="0" />Badminton High 3rd Tournament<br /></p><br /><div align="justify"></div><br /><div align="justify">The next day, my schedule is dinner with my former choir members (good old friends). Meeting place at SM Mega church 7pm. We had our dinner at ManHann. </div><br /><p align="justify"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5284015357697608962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAavYKHFxd8coN_6QoCwDeCviPuNiGB4OClsoRwHuhD_ySnxnEpUp1tkXMI3wwwi_0RIyYnRVPxj4QGjoqUs0gE2B03UDLez2uL6JSQi8iyS60rUeCPk4UNKO5FGUQPfi9LPyY2D7L1NPZ/s200/Pasig+Concert+Choir.jpg" border="0" /></p><p align="center">Pasig Concert Choir </p><p align="left">As usual majority of the basses and sopranos are present , one from tenor and none from alto's. But basically it's a gathering of close friends/barkadas. It was a good and fun dinner. Everyone has stories to share and update their lives. In one conversation, an idea pop out of having a reunion concert "One Night Only" parang pelikula...LOLZ...everyone like the idea but then it will take a lot planning and time. And maybe the question is if we can still sing...of course we can.....Let's just see when... The resto is closing so we transferred at Starbucks for more sharing and updates. It's another tiring day for me but I'm happy seeing my choir members wherein some of them are my kumpare's and kumare's. Through the years our friendship remains and even grows better. Truly friends are gifts not easily gained. It roots from one's heart and involves memories that stay...not for a moment ...not for a day but ...always<br /></p><br /><p align="center"><br /><br /><br /></p>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-86891450933456218642008-11-30T23:52:00.010+08:002008-12-28T15:14:43.962+08:00Badminton Group at Smashville<div align="left">It's been 2 months since I started joining the BH group (badminton enthusiasts) through the invitation of my high school friend Rachelle. Other batchmates who joined the group are Rey, our senior class president, willie , rollie and eric. I enjoy playing with my batchmates and of course I like the group who welcome us here, compose mainly of young and not so old professionals...hehehe. The game is scheduled every sunday and I try to be there as much as possible because I consider this as my form of exercise and an outlet.</div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"></div><div align="left">The first few faces that I had a communication are Tess , Dominick, Jordan, Joy, Ernie. Majority of them I know by faces, names but just pure hi and hello (a smile gesture). Aside from my high school friends (batchmates) , there are three persons that has been good, nice and kind to me...(should I say...with impact and recall). Alex (soft spoken and looks naive) for entertaining my querries and ....hehehe, Jay (looks snobbish..first impression only...clean looking and refreshing face) for bringing my box of wine in our plant and Cris (kind and friendly) my adopted brother, for the trust, sharing his life and for the bookings. I'm just new in the group and hopefully will get to know more about the other members.</div><div align="left"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="center"><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281381249955392898" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 155px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD4q1k51d3AfrtNym4qwxNupaF6hDEXgS6Dc_qzyXkpZu3c5nPvsngAV0wEIOWK7MzmVYWIPFx7JMSa5IPppY9ATyBmkPy7GEDePI4QJWdounOngzaOEtoHWyYmOBXmr5i7wLJ67RZGHf5/s200/rhs+sketc.jpg" border="0" />Me & my batchmates (friends)<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281381244867645282" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 165px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 203px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsGbpsZmU12zYmqDMiwXvpIsorXnmzLxj83jywtWjdO_0hiAGwJVlu_5iAVUCN7xRVDeVYoBgQg4k9sxy3TsZ8nFR-JNTD-M6W2q9NuvwxEkEIR6mRUWyZiezsv-1pfcocOhb0UhJbWy12/s200/cris2.jpg" border="0" />Cris Munoz (adopted brother)<br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281381239479149186" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 134px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKHOdLcj9opiQSFxkcSIqQw8cQhEzMW3zrqDpVtiaur2UdRaFjxfu9Cp-5TEbxyEPwRUHfsf53tGGfjH6f5VZCfhjdz9kQWFL5emmZjsqukXRarYr__gE3deeOn0-lJ6kNvpzewZisBxFh/s200/sketch.jpg" border="0" /></div><div align="center">Alex & Jay (Dynamic buddy) </div>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-72807167024668804272008-11-17T18:59:00.006+08:002008-12-06T21:40:09.636+08:00Angel's first bdayA simple celebration of my niece, daughter of my youngest brother who happens to be my kidney donor. My brother is teaching my niece to call me "Dada" his second dad (hehehe). Her great baby sitter is my father (her Lolo). It was just a simple family affair with the chosen few relatives. Present also is my eldest brother and his family (with my nephews). My mom (who manage to call us to greet her grand daughter) is still with my sister's family. There will also be a grand celebration next month, this time it's the christening of the twins to be held on December 7 at London, England.<br /><br /><br /><br />It was in deed a happy gathering seeing my kuya, pamankins , tiya. The next gathering will be this coming Christmas and new year. The one year that happen to my niece was a wonderful year and much blessings from the above, for guiding her, making her healthy, strong and away from sickness. I do hope she will be blessed more together with her parents and the rest of my family....<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5271346536041342018" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ZW2atcK5G8tXvjOnyU1reSFS-L9QqzMKsi5swHYtnataRF3SVC8xDJJ5WVVYATmtCJrQVAKhr7UvFTayQiW2qdpDINqhjVvrPZ_ERs_-clkROW-T3t55ULxBVGc9VMz_EOM1xpkXXydt/s320/DSC01142.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGQ5Dn5frcEAQUQ1TDhFPAPcP4TzqLpGW0vfkFwA9_qhO9RuBXqX4mSkeXY46TKRlK2vrGnGlzJ5875rSbuxw83-wLr4II8AIXyADft8933LFvL2StgzzjXB3fn-jWKm2HBRto7Y8Km-5p/s1600-h/DSC01151.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5271345285885116114" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGQ5Dn5frcEAQUQ1TDhFPAPcP4TzqLpGW0vfkFwA9_qhO9RuBXqX4mSkeXY46TKRlK2vrGnGlzJ5875rSbuxw83-wLr4II8AIXyADft8933LFvL2StgzzjXB3fn-jWKm2HBRto7Y8Km-5p/s320/DSC01151.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsVwHpUJD8Fvh2wnQ_UdIE8mY68FFqbLlxVqNi82InGDRE6xi6Kcmq2BZFJvlTSv92axF3RIfL-djLQcz47kZluVVsv47Lldubrbo3t0hNhA1texIBPLCTylFKSowb7XVhY_317SaimKxr/s1600-h/DSC01147.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5271343679853859074" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsVwHpUJD8Fvh2wnQ_UdIE8mY68FFqbLlxVqNi82InGDRE6xi6Kcmq2BZFJvlTSv92axF3RIfL-djLQcz47kZluVVsv47Lldubrbo3t0hNhA1texIBPLCTylFKSowb7XVhY_317SaimKxr/s320/DSC01147.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOhYoLMjYaQNi_ChxSKN10GcWQ0_FbTbH31Emx3dc2YNGoTrp0s650tfXZaohrdbhpMF-h_jJCeA-cJtn1v6sYopL8xFALW1hRyeUhEIzlS5caRvrt2Vvs7ZDP8vjMGdDjFdgHGoTYxVas/s1600-h/DSC01148.JPG"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-37647354113435278762008-09-21T18:44:00.023+08:002008-12-05T20:42:05.052+08:00My Vacation - The London Experience Continuation<div align="justify">The continuation...another London's landmark....The Buckingham Palace, the official residence of British Monarch. It is one of the main tourist attraction where a major ceremony called Changing of the Guard is held daily during summer and every other day for the rest of the year. New guard exchanging shift with the old guard and this process is accompanied by a guards band. Be sure to be early so you will have a nice spot viewing the guards formation and for the picture taking, its really fantastic and exciting, a lot of people really do visit here to watch this ceremony.</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify">Outside the Buckingham Palace is the Canada Gates (with black and yellow color) this is the entrance to Hyde Park which is one of the romantic and cool park here in London, including also the St James park. After strolling the in the park, we went to Starbucks to have a merienda. We then proceeded to one of the world's famous department store in London's Knightbridge.... The Harrods. We just do window shopping and buy small items for my niece.....</div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify">We then proceeded to London's Museum...the first Museum we visited is the Science Museum. We did not manage to go to 2nd to 5th floor because our camera battery is too low already but we do have some pics in the museum to show. It was a great and wonderful day (although tired and exhausted) seeing this amazing tourist attraction here in London. </div><div align="left"> </div><br /><br /><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzyf2ZTFWK2oUW-QcYsl8G0-v3nSzKpTlNKC2AYaa92068Jxy8RJ3FUanj9iDyE_FC59s_iyH-YbKBj1RpQNQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p><div align="justify"><br />The last travel and visit before I go back in Manila.....Another popular travel destination here in central London. I know some by names and faces, others just met here for the first time, except for Nana Maxine (British National) who been in the Philippines, my sisters second mom here. It's my first time to blow a candle for my birthday cake...sounds funny but it's true ( no picture - confidential....lolz). The kids sang a birthday song and blown the candle for me. I was also surprised with their birthday presents for me. I said to myself it's nice having a birthday here ....oh no!!!...just kidding. Maybe I'm not used in receiving gifts now a days at my age. But I'm really thankful for the warmth welcome and generosity of my sister friends.<br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247869430265352994" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_8KjEfBSr_5s-KXEtls-NQ7dmzXpvUGQmZqDztFxXw98H4bNiSLGFZwj5yuSXGTxAZ4yFVlrbDGWq1ovgnh2RNRUCLXsMo9AG6yURr9SYshAhAcUm6vzS_i3Kn9Mua0VUX41BvqdWOA1h/s320/DSC_2006.JPG" border="0" /><br /><p align="center">Kids blown the candle for me</p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247867726945813794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmoSbgHURcN0oq-NiDoXoeGQIhWpP0FbrrPDYl17m9MkuaFJYOvDfmLPys5eb8QCvouz_ymZLVBCeFqtQOC7G8hObBj2NvLB9cuCEo68CeUfcanyAMpN2tNTO63CBOgPNqPgePAllSAdxz/s320/DSC_2012.JPG" border="0" /></p><br /><p align="center">Nana Maxi with Sam, Christian, Ashley, Tara, Laura</p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247866566081903506" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiShJ2UfLh5LzeEgkIq5icoFMm0JqEGRF56o1FP1bOip0UVB9nmqHGNPS2AlbZyj8lt54U26n-qu5SXw-yg6ROYhsLg_qFveBT-d-OdUwaF7m-DPwhh9sHxb8LQ60c1H3SILMQRzAE08kVs/s320/DSC01108.JPG" border="0" /></p><p align="justify">Above are the items I received: stuffed toy (monkey), birthday cards, M&S T-shirt, 2 England caps, 3 Umbro shirts (the red one is the new official shirt of England for 2008-2010 kick off), pair of watches, another M&S polo shirt (not in the picture) and 160GB external hard drive.</p><p align="justify"> I will never forget this wonderful day being with you people and looking forward in seeing you again someday. An Eye flight (air conditioned passenger capsule) where you can view London's famous landmarks such as Big Ben, House of Parliament , River Thames, Westminster Bridge....This famous tourist attraction is located at Western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of River Thames.<br /><br />We were lucky enough that we already inside the capsule when the rain pours. It was amazing seeing famous landmarks while you are inside the capsule and on top. After the ride , we just go around the park and find a nearby restaurant to have our lunch.<br /><br />We then proceeded to London's famous day out, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum with branches in a number of cities (New York, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Shanghai, Hongkong....). The Museum represents entertainment, sports and public figures.<br /><br />This was just two of the many tourist attractions and landmarks here ... we will still visit some...It was really a day to remember, experiencing all of this together with your family.<br /><br /><br /><br /><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxzNAVx7dRHiiyfW2iSafECnACplKIjazG6hB1ofiaoaoSYFRPCa26tJ6GFZvER81oE0A9GkmHcj8WvvWxiGg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-63898355250282624222008-09-06T05:28:00.026+08:002008-09-17T17:40:28.832+08:00New Angels in the family<div align="justify">My new nieces, Allison and Alliza was born 25th of July @ 14:46 and 14:47 and 1,660 and 2,630 gms respectively via elective cesarean section. They're genetically identical twins though its not obvious at the moment due to dissimilar birth weights. They're a bit premature so they had to stay in the neonatal unit for quite sometime! Allison (the elder and smaller of the two) is still on a drip and has to rest her tummy a bit to avoid gut problems as a precaution due to her low birth weight otherwise all else seems ok so far. Alliza (the younger and bigger of the two) was fed through a tube and is beginning to suck nicely from mum's breasts. Alliza was the first one to go home after three weeks and Allison after five and a half weeks. </div><div align="justify"><br /><br /></div><div align="justify"></div><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246596272130780482" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoqBqNrzhHezXWtYI4aVgjvGaOW3V8gPH8CMzOe_RpnMPV9rsXFTl6UvqS23u5irgLSiNc77iF0n0L-JT42osBDSRA4agcE6bUXn9tRSiYb2N75P7xNxClI4QCdqedRpCBx3NjARzNJr90/s320/PQXj5Ar6VqkLChc3iqfBJYi0pksZWrec0300%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" /><br />Allison</p><p align="justify"><br /></p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246595843939382546" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmbpniRre4eCxWf5km9qURlCcqT4AJ_fS8wkzAa6NGrDNKdInyMPJFc-93dX68x_n9M_iukKx8u6brz7LFTMLU3IsM53sro0WJv3ea1VBwDH27v66IRHWVNpq9T42YIRzQ6z5jm-dTa8Wr/s320/H068fxL0NXFYxjFG438mHicoACb4YBLu0300%5B1%5D.jpg" border="0" /> <p align="center"><br />Alliza<br /></p><br /><p align="justify"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246592892203691570" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimzIuJGHuZIhMlE_njO2btKqeVVUe9iTMvrta3OYu2oZNJJR45y1q1WPM1B3VwNCQk5LnkRwjoLDkwkDjqGN2uxEkI6-WPns74ZEl3YQY2sYvAotbqoI6B98B8ml2arOP7gm0LmsQ3CWcl/s320/DSC01038.JPG" border="0" /><br />The twins weight after 6 weeks , Alliza from 2.6 to 5.0 and Allison from 1.6 to 3.0 kgs. We are here to help and assist our sister company (Rawang Malaysia), the two will work on PECAS implementation and me to follow-up and conduct a quality systems audit based on our customer requirements. It was a four long days of work (we had no merienda like in the Philippines) and we get back on hotel at around 7pm. We had our 2 days dinner in a nearby Chinese restaurant from our Hotel. On the third night, we met our former operations manager and have dinner with him together with APM SCD manager. It was a long night of chat, eating and enjoyment. The following morning is my report preparation and a closing meeting in the afternoon with the concern Departments/Section together with the Regional Director. It was a tough week doing this audit alone and I hope I manage to help and assists them in the best way I can. That night, we decided to have a dinner in China town and check some items to bring back as "pasalubong". It's a 20 minute drive (taxi) from our Hotel. The following day, Friday, is our scheduled trip back home (at 12pm). We need to be in the airport early by 9:30am. We wake up early so we can check out by 8am. We decided to visit the twin towers at KL so Dondon called our service taxi and drop us in the place.</p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5242658472026968786" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 272px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="320" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimNWpZhRxaos3csRrqGnkNpeygvNYSiSRlKXEKW_X_HeKfK5TnBMubLWw1nXhP22mNyA27ms3rE6uT1KBVPyN94z0CBkpuTlEdlWja_Q3qmX56lvSKBz32k8kURW38-tLm9r-SEj1ALCsx/s320/DSC00873.JPG" width="289" border="0" /></p><p align="justify">The twin towers is a spectacular pieces of architecture that should not be missed during any visit to Kuala Lumpur. I just hope that he is in good condition right now, and his health has improved a lot. The last communication (through text) we had was when he was in Dubai. It is very unusual of him that he just stop communicating...<br /><br />One day someone had texted me asking his whereabouts, telling that she's a friend of my brother. I teased her that you should know because your his friend too. She keep on asking me where's my bro... asking for every details and even the phone nos. I just replied that I don't have contact and very much worried too..<br /><br />I have not personally met him, but we do chat and text most of the time and in one instance where his mom and dad do but-in in our conversation. I'm fond of this young boy for he is very different from the usual teenagers should I say, maybe because of the upbringing but he's nice and kind with me. Weird as what people says. He don't usually hang out with his classmates and no circle of friends except from his cousins. Both of us have and ordeal to take and fight on our health condition. It's not pity that I have given my time for him but because I truly consider him as a real brother for I consider him as a blessing in my life too. Some of my friends keep telling me that he's not real....but whether real or not, he had shared his life and at one point I have been a good brother to him.louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-12727079974314822342008-06-09T09:33:00.007+08:002008-06-17T10:57:58.653+08:00High School Get TogetherThis is the first gathering from high school that I attended since I graduated . The mini-reunion was organized by Ronald and Marife Bunyi. It was held at Elbow Room Metrowalk, Ugong Pasig last June 7, 2008 Saturday. Elbow room is a resto bar with a huge billiard hall and with live music (bands). We occupy one VIP room where there's one billiard table and overhead projector for the karaoke. Our attendance is 70% of the total original list of 50 that confirmed their participation.<br /><br />The program was started with a prayer and an inspirational message from our very own Father Joel Jason. Father also wrote a book entitled 'True Love , Free Love" which is nominated at the Catholic Mass Media Award. The book is available in all National Bookstore outlets. One portion of the program is to introduce and update themselves about their families, work and/or career status. I got to know and see my batch mates who are now Managers, Businessman, Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Teachers, Engineers, Accountant, Police, Priest, plain Mom....Everyone is successful in his own right. The group is also doing a yearly Medical Mission which is headed by our batch mate Doctors. I hope I can participate next year in this worthwhile activity.<br /><br />I enjoy the gathering and It was fun. I was able to mingle with my former classmates and batch mates. It's nice seeing them happy and feeling young(lol) and energetic. Each of everyone has its own stories to tell. One thing for sure, this was a quality gathering and though our looks have changed and years has been added in our age, still you can feel the youthful heart of everyone.<br />Kudos to the organizers and see you all on next gathering........<br /><br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dw-TbGSmlFWdgPrEckRuesyEJUbWXutoW97_Zvtj9uMp4OU6vDhZwVU6LBkglbNrUl8PBiRkRw1_U9YKGIjQQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-63668325021112790442008-06-02T20:34:00.008+08:002008-06-06T12:08:57.843+08:00Friends VisitYesterday, I meet my friends from Baguio who will attend a von boyage night party here at Manila. I was late then in meeting them at SM Mega Mall (sorry guys ....hehehehe) near National Bookstore. There was no exact plan / what to do for the day, just a sort of meeting and bonding and suppose visit at Ocean Park. But since its 11am, its not advisable to go there as we will just waste time . It is almost lunch then but they opt to watch a movie so they can possibly relax too.<br /><br />We watched "What happen in Vegas", starring Cameron Diaz (Joy) and Asthon Kutcher (Jack). Joy is a insecure commodity trader who was dumped by her fiance and Jack is slacker carpenter who was fired by his own father. The two met in Las Vegas and winding up drunk and waking up in the morning with a marriage certificate and a ring. Joy talked to Jack (near the slot machine) and arguing that it was a mistake, and one of them winning a jackpot after playing the others quarter. Battling it out for the prize money the judge decided that they had to undergo six months hard marriage before they can claim the money...... each one playing trick in order to get the money.....and falling in love a long the way... My rating for this romantic comedy movie is just average ....though I had some laughs, humor is not that enjoyable. I even fall asleep (maybe i was just tired). Anyway, I think my friends quite enjoy it and they had a chance to relax and being when them is the most important.<br /><br /><br />We take our lunch at Kenny Rogers, we order roast chicken, side dishes and chocolate mousse for our dessert. We stay for a while to rest because were full. I've noticed that they enjoyed but I felt they are so tired....so I decided to pampered them by bringing in a massage parlor near the meeting place (Cainta) of the supposed party. We leave the place and went at Cainta Rizal, we arrived there at around 4pm. There were no sauna and massage in Robinson Cainta so we tried massage from the blind. We book for 1 hour combination massage of shiatsu, swedish and acupuncture. Rooms are available at 5pm so we stroll the first the place and ending up in a Mocha Blend area to re- freshen ourselves, and after having some chat we return to have our massage. My massage was a semi hard one and I was able to get a nap and the moment I wake up I felt so relieved and back with my usual energy. Paul feel the same way, both of us has experienced massage before while Dodie who really enjoy it is a first timer. There was a certain glow on his face and more energetic after the said massage... couldn't explain his happiness as he uttered to me with a smile "it was so good and a wonderful experience" I really enjoyed it. I am very happy for it was the first time too that I saw my little brother feel that way. I remember when Paul and Dodie went to our house , Dodie was too shy then and looks so naive but he calls me brother already that time but today I think he is more comfortable and relax. Actually this two guys are best of friends, both sweet and friendly. I call Paul the scholar and Dodie my little sweet brother. I do enjoy too and feel important because they make it point to spend their time with me prior going to their friends party (huh! thanks bro).....Till then friends....louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-89104233031821828062008-05-24T10:31:00.030+08:002008-05-28T11:58:43.622+08:00Pinay Wins Emirates Business Women's Award 2008<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtPPOe_vto-CXEDC6IIevMrdz9v1v9cbzIr0fF5ecmWgg138Bl-oN-4g4eaz3w0uqzue5u9xKVDWeGCv2ZK2FRnSBz43hB7izYLx-ni-wbZKjT-JFjl-SNaY8N3NiH-SB2pzJ4RfES3-cQ/s1600-h/Janes+Award.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5205227587766651826" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtPPOe_vto-CXEDC6IIevMrdz9v1v9cbzIr0fF5ecmWgg138Bl-oN-4g4eaz3w0uqzue5u9xKVDWeGCv2ZK2FRnSBz43hB7izYLx-ni-wbZKjT-JFjl-SNaY8N3NiH-SB2pzJ4RfES3-cQ/s320/Janes+Award.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNZ_ScdkhyphenhyphenMEsa-kAoSW-uWzyhKX5MnRhTwDCubLv2Zf5GG-yT0XDphCzTSVY3fU_0gTYH_6R2yreTBQjtIdXJd0b9tHtoMahOasgqXaVJOZBiYvpErXRgf6F0D3D9XzYVmAIw2SuhoX4/s1600-h/jane+2.jpg"></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCZZRxWzQ3MF5PR6Q8JnDrlBPxran4XAPKTMMoLqUacC3UaMqg2QGGjbjMkWrYfR2ecwo5KTNQMEO0-Ii2eCsHZe4NqXVSvZchwN1Ze_ugy9H7tGchqC92QY0f0bTAKLV3ublX89NHdX_a/s1600-h/Jane.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5204977895547931506" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCZZRxWzQ3MF5PR6Q8JnDrlBPxran4XAPKTMMoLqUacC3UaMqg2QGGjbjMkWrYfR2ecwo5KTNQMEO0-Ii2eCsHZe4NqXVSvZchwN1Ze_ugy9H7tGchqC92QY0f0bTAKLV3ublX89NHdX_a/s320/Jane.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div align="justify">One of the eight winners of the Emirates Business Women's Awards 2008 is a Filipina chemist who is the Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of Geoscience Testing Laboratory in Dubai. I've been here for so may times so I ask him where else can we go? He suggested Asin Hot Springs in Benguet so the plan trip was scheduled. </div><div align="justify"><br /></div><div align="justify">We arrived at Baguio at around 8:00am with Third, Ian and Al. Paul meet us in the terminal and we had lunch at Diner Star. We proceed to the place arranged by Paul so we can relax for a while and later in the afternoon we went to Mines View Park , stroll at Central Mall and played bowling. My brother (a friend) Dodie and Frank also arrived, they will also be joining at Asin the following day. After the games, we buy some foods for our dinner and breakfast. Chef Ian made the preparation and cook some foods for us. </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"><br /></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify">The next day we go to market to complete the things we needed for the overnight at Asin. It was raining that time in Baguio, luckily not in Asin , Benguet where we will go on swimming on natural hot springs. Asin Hot Spring Resort is a popular destination not just for the locals who warm themselves from the cool weather of Baguio but as well as foreigners. Our destination is in Asin Riverview Water Park. It has Hotel and Restaurant, 3 built swimming pools with relaxing warm water, one of which has a slide for the kids. Shower rooms with heated water. All of us take a dip, have fun and stayed all day long. </div><div align="justify"><br /></div><div align="justify">Going here in Asin is quite an experience as we enjoyed passing on a narrow road and through the two small tunnels that were curved through the mountains. On the Hot Springs, when you're on the pool the water is truly soothing and realxing and you will be amazed and fall in love as you look from the top and find yourself surrounded by trees and mountains as if your in paradise.</div><div align="justify"></div><p align="center"></p><br /><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzbn-n7XPzzT09AjV1nG2YfBCidQoieV7--bCKQ8lIQuJr1_3f9Dj4aPPaSx1HUlThbXuPagA-z9JECIgKYsA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-25680220607335917232008-04-27T21:42:00.006+08:002008-05-08T15:41:19.763+08:00Outreach Program<div align="justify">The ChE Blues group held its annual Outreach Program @ Betahny House Sto. Followed by an opening remarks by our Project Coordinator. Games followed after that and each children received a loot bags of goodies. The boys quartet render a song accompanied by a guitar. After the fun games we had a picture taking with the children before they take their simple lunch courtesy of Mrs Lopez. The kids pray before their meals and greeted two of our April birthday celebrants who were present in the activity. While the children were having lunch we look for the sisters to say goodbye. It was their prayer time so only one sister attended to us and we request for a group picture.</div><br /><div align="justify"><br /></div><br /><div align="justify">We left the orphanage fullfilled and happy. Despite of the busy schedule of everyone, it's good to know that we still find time to do this fruitful activities and share a little of ourselves especially to the children who didn't have a choice. Again to all who supported this annual activity , to our friends , classmates <strong>Thank you very much for your time (prayers & inspiration) and treasure (cash & goods).... this will surely makes a lot of difference to the lives of the children. Without hesitation, we set our flight booking bound to Bohol. The time of our scheduled flight is 8:00am and we arrived at the airport 7am. The travel time is approximately 1hr and 15mins from Manila to Tagbilaran. We were fetched by his aunt (tita Lydia and his family) and stayed at their house and alternately with his other aunt (tita Alma) at Liboron.<br /></div><br /><div align="justify">I joined in their traditional station of the cross at Sohoton ( a mountainous baranggay at Calape) were thousands of devotees crossed a "sapa' (brook) and seriously trekking withstanding the heat of the sun to reach the top. I also experienced riding a habal habal, one of their means of transportation (riding in a motorcycle with 2-4 passengers). I also got to taste the mouth watering shrimp-like or more of a small lobster called "Takla" (crayfish) so yummy and delicious and the original famous pasalubong of Bohol "Peanut Kisses" (peanut and egg white cookies).<br /></div><br /><div align="justify">We start our tour proper at Sabayan Peak, to view the most popular, signature attraction of Bohol which is the Chocolate Hills ( a numerous mound of limestone formation). This can be viewed better at Municipality of Carmen where you can have a panoramic view. It is colored green starting to get brown in some, but during full dry season it will turn out brown. Our next destination is Loboc and we got to see and passed by the man-made forest. In Loboc there's a mini sanctuary for monkeys, bat and tarsiers. Tarsiers are so cute, it has large eyes and clings on branches. They are indigenous to this island. But if you want to see lot of tarsier you can visit the Municipality of Corella. We havent tried the floating restaurant at Loboc River because the station is too far so we decided to rent a boat instead, to experience viewing the river and see the Busay Falls. After this we proceeded to Albur Sanctuary were Marimar and Prony is the main attraction. Prony is a female python, the anaconda of Bohol which is one of the largest python captivity and has been featured in television by Jessica Soho and Korina Sanchez. Aside from the python, there are a couple of small snakes, crows, myna birds and flying lemurs hanging upside down in a cage. The following day is a schedule for our swimming bound to Panglao Beach. Got to see and collect so many starfish and we form our names out of it. Play in the water throwing the fine and white sand of the beach. Enjoy riding in a Kayak late in the afternoon and check out the nearby private beaches. Truly Panglao is a home of finest beaches.<br /></div><br /><div align="justify">The next day, we went to Cebu about 2hours from Tubigon pier. Our first stop is at Magellan's Cross then check out the famous Sutokil to have lunch but since it is quite far from downtown (Lapu-Lapu) and there's a heavy traffic we just take a lunch in a nearby place who offer Sutokil. After lunch, we visit the Taoist temple. We proceeded at the Market place to buy dried fish (danggit) and dried pusit. Dropped by at shamrock to buy Otap, mamon tostado etc.<br /></div><br /><div align="justify">Though it was just a semi-round visit at Bohol, I really enjoy my stay here and I have a great time. People here are soft spoken, kind and friendly. Thanks to Tita Lydia, Tita Alma, Kuya Emong, Ate Grace, Rudy, Mel and Rommel for the hospitality, free food, accomodations and for the transport from the tour and all the way to airport. Thanks to my friend for bringing me here. Hopefully, I can go back again to explore other areas here in Bohol like the caves (eco-adventure), river treking and rappelling at Danao's , dolphin and whale watching, Panglao's finest beaches such as Bohol Beach Club, Alona, Balicasag Island Dive resort , structure of old churches etc. There'll be no second thought to revisit this place and recommend Bohol, a treasure island of natural wonders. So what are you waiting for? Come and see for yourself and be amazed and captivated with the beauty of Bohol, a pleasure at its best..... </div><div align="justify"><br /></div><a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=-EPKiehUICc"></a><p align="center"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxkVl_mMC-VXtNvWN0gyGhddogtr-xZBLrVbVIv-Dw0HvnAzVfX0rDrh9Q2ZR_HJT0_cTXF3Y_PrT-8vRb9JQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p>louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-7923704755845769432008-02-03T14:58:00.000+08:002008-02-03T17:27:50.790+08:00What does my name Louie means<div align="center">***What Louie Means***</div><br />You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. Last year 5 eggs were layed but was not successfully hatched. It was the time when my brother and I are on our recovery period so we havent check and manage our pets thoroughly. We are planning to move them to a larger cage and probably mix with other birds. I will join them with the two pairs of my African lovebirds , Maya Peach and my ordinary Lovebird. My regular physician was on leave at that time, so someone relieved for his post. Initially, he calls it as a sign of rejection but not quite sure what's the cause, no complications and other symptoms physically present except for creatinine results. So he admitted me first at Emergency Room and call up another doctor who will attend to me. Tests have been done, except for renal graft biopsy of my new kidney, because there's no available biopsy room yet. After seeing the results okay (except creatinine that decreased a bit from 2.3 to 2.0) the doctor said, must be on toxicity of medicines. So I was discharged the following day and just instructed me to have a repeat serum creatinine test, make a follow-up after 2 days and reduced the dosage of one of my medicines.<br /><br />I went back after 2 days for check up with my regular nephro, but still creatinine level is at 2.1. He reviewed previous instruction and scheduled me for the biopsy and arranged a room for me. The following day the biopsy was done and results was available in the afternoon. Another nephro who is monitoring my condition (I think a fellow of my regular nephro) discussed the results with us. It was actually a bad news because according to him that the kidney that I've got from my donor is defective, so it's a<strong> chronic rejection already</strong>. In months time I'll have to go on dialysis again and probably have new kidney transplantation. Mom and I just looking at each other and while the doctor kept on explaining, I am just quiet and was tongue tied at that moment. I keep myself compose and at the back of my mind questions arises. Like, how did it happen when the donor undergo rigid tests and work up? If chronic already, why did they accept it? I told to myself that I will never undergo dialysis again, I can fight it 7-10 years more (full of spirit) and if it is faith then let it be. What I worry much is my brother, who lost his kidney for me because his just starting to have his own family. When the doctor left out, mom and I discussed what should be done in the future, no plans for dialysis and another implant. I also texted and called my regular nephrologists, explaining the result and requested him to visit me after or before his clinic. He responded and paid visit and ask me what's your problem, smile and said its nothing, the diagnosis is just a slight rejection which can be done to pulsing to normalize the creatinine level. He gives his assurance and explain that he already communicated with the doctor and the laboratory department. <strong>In short, there was a mistake that arises from the laboratory, the results that was forwarded and read was not my</strong> <strong>biopsy</strong>. My mom who almost felt like dying due to stress and depression has regained herself and felt relieved. We'll get back with the other doctor mom said.<br /><br />The following day, the doctor who read the wrong results immediately admitted thier fault and very apologetic with what happen, mom explains its okay we understand, however this will not be the case always, as to some families and patients you'll get different reaction. Hopefully this will be a lesson and we should be very careful next time and coordinated properly. Because it's important that we are considerate on the feelings of the patient and families as they are also undergoing depression and anxiety ( very well said mom).<br /><br />I know that there a lot of worse cases that has been featured in news and depicted in some TV soap operas and movies compared to my experience. Who would think that I will personally experience such thing in the hospital? Medical practitioners are human too, but what if it takes life.. How will you react? Luckily mine was just <strong>an accidental switching of laboratory results</strong> and was coordinated at once with my regular nephrologists.<br /><br />No one is excuse... this could also happen to you.louiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11991025599134556852noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2292646976431081665.post-1093851042227212972007-12-20T10:34:00.000+08:002007-12-21T12:48:26.918+08:00MY FIRST TRIP after 3 months operation<div align="justify">My first local trip after my 3 months post kidney transplant was last November 30, 2007. This was a previously arranged schedule with my family and with my physician consent. This place is dubbed as the Pilgrimage of the Northern Capital of the Philipines, a religious shrine with countless miracles, tales and healing powers. <strong>Our Lady of Shrine of Manaoag</strong>, located at Pangasinan<br /><br /></div><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZVr_KDvcZdz9ESyi1H3KEZ4cWryXb5BQUOi9p1MEwKOD3rXnTCldiS31blLa4iM4oSxbqvyzaJvW4jInoNg3ZN_76bfGB2xe_KfwhffFCj5iLTwn1ujYmqHRx9X344dyZfm834N1W5aLr/s1600-h/Our+Lady.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146222045743829474" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZVr_KDvcZdz9ESyi1H3KEZ4cWryXb5BQUOi9p1MEwKOD3rXnTCldiS31blLa4iM4oSxbqvyzaJvW4jInoNg3ZN_76bfGB2xe_KfwhffFCj5iLTwn1ujYmqHRx9X344dyZfm834N1W5aLr/s320/Our+Lady.jpg" border="0" /></a></p><br /><br /><div align="justify">I have been here in many occasions like my birthdays, after my graduation, board exam etc......Today I'm here together with some members of the family for a thanksgiving mass. We attended mass at 10am in the morning. After the mass, we buy candles and offer prayers. I went to the cashier office for a special mass intention for myself and friend (a brother to me) who is also undergoing health ordeals. The mass will be celebrated the following day, Saturday coinciding with his complete physical and laboratory check up. </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"><br /></div><div align="justify"><br /></div><div align="justify">By 11:30am we already left the shrine and take our lunch. Our second destination is an overdue promise for my niece and nephews, a trip to City of Pines "The Summer Capital of the Philippines", <strong>Baguio </strong>. I called up my friend to arrange the place where we will stay. And since my "pamangkins" are first timers including mom and my sister in law (hehehe) I really felt their excitement on their faces. I just watched them and smile and try to relax for I have been here for so many times. We reached Baguio at around 2pm, and my friend came to fetch us and accomodate us in the condotel to rest and arangge our things for 20 minutes.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQQrVW1p2QISTazp7sI59Dv0t-GNQKoA9ouSDBtcXQwzA2Y3ZIKcsY5oE5YuAp8m44h5IHVdCgTuSytec2gnljy_ihZBOguEnfaFi4jAfjVlP9vlUc7KN2ED5_E5viZ_gZbQFoIKFy8xEM/s1600-h/Mera+and+mom.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5145924610668646690" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQQrVW1p2QISTazp7sI59Dv0t-GNQKoA9ouSDBtcXQwzA2Y3ZIKcsY5oE5YuAp8m44h5IHVdCgTuSytec2gnljy_ihZBOguEnfaFi4jAfjVlP9vlUc7KN2ED5_E5viZ_gZbQFoIKFy8xEM/s320/Mera+and+mom.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpxK0ooNo6BfTnv-kPAUYD15dmmltXkgP4wk-gDty9K8Tz-1r1uWOumbvpGa14TzhGxgsPSf1dkrjAcu0F7Sxqut2w6jzVIUrrxm1lq494MU9yReUl-wN_vFd31bxXhz3-Nck6eobIDtS6/s1600-h/condotel.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5145926745267392834" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpxK0ooNo6BfTnv-kPAUYD15dmmltXkgP4wk-gDty9K8Tz-1r1uWOumbvpGa14TzhGxgsPSf1dkrjAcu0F7Sxqut2w6jzVIUrrxm1lq494MU9yReUl-wN_vFd31bxXhz3-Nck6eobIDtS6/s320/condotel.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6T0sGlSiyjUEhN8aJbo-uIiVuKdiAj6Tpawdm1KMBOYC9MlMR_2HzlAFibN-zZWNLo1f09dH4GMRLPCYe0zvfTd9EkKdv8dqL50f9De4ldXvP6XC5W3gydReYOG0DO6FN7T9MBwj4jpEp/s1600-h/condotel+2.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5145926113907200306" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6T0sGlSiyjUEhN8aJbo-uIiVuKdiAj6Tpawdm1KMBOYC9MlMR_2HzlAFibN-zZWNLo1f09dH4GMRLPCYe0zvfTd9EkKdv8dqL50f9De4ldXvP6XC5W3gydReYOG0DO6FN7T9MBwj4jpEp/s320/condotel+2.JPG" border="0" /></a></div><div align="justify"><br /><br />First place we visited is the <strong>Mines View Park</strong>: Instead of overlooking and site seeing (mom and sister in law) they enjoy shopping and looking for different kinds of souvenir items , pasalubongs and a like ....girl thing hehehe.
